Wedding backdrops decorate ceremonies and reception sites, but you don't need to buy an expensive backdrop to make your special day beautiful. Hanging tulle, chiffon or other ethereal-style fabrics as a backdrop is as easy as gathering the fabric onto a u-frame. Make the frame from PVC materials, which are easily assembled and disassembled. Premade curtains can slide perfectly onto the piping to make an effortless and easily transported backdrop.

Slide the curtains onto one of the PVC pipes.

Cap the ends of the curtained PVC pipe with the elbow connectors.

Fit the remaining PVC pipes into the open elbow connector holes, one on each side.

Fit the left and right PVC pipe poles into the bases.

Slide the curtains to the edges of the horizontal PVC pipe to cover the elbow connectors and side poles.

  • The more curtain panels you add to the PVC pipe, the more full and pleated the backdrop will be.
