Remembering your wedding day can be done through more than just your wedding photographs. Many brides opt to dry out their wedding bouquets and display them. When you dry your bouquet, your flowers stay intact just as they were on your big day. From using a shadowbox to making jewelry from your flowers, there are many ways to display your bouquet.
Place your bouquet in a shadowbox. A shadowbox has enough room to hold the bouquet without flattening the flowers or causing damage. Hang the shadowbox up on a wall and place your wedding photos around it. This creates a wedding display that looks classy and elegant.
Freeze dry your bouquet and place it in a bell jar or glass display case. Put the case with your flowers on a table in your formal living room or in your dining room. You want an area where the jar will be safe from people yet still easily seen.
Get your flowers dried and placed in a paperweight or jewelry. You do not have to display your bouquet in your home. Instead, display your flowers at the office in the form of a paperweight. Other people freeze dry their bouquets and have a few flowers made into jewelry. With jewelry, you have the option of making several pieces or just one. Once you choose a few flowers from your bouquet for jewelry, place the rest of your bouquet in an oval frame and hang it in your home.
Once you preserve your flowers, you must put them in a safe place. If you leave the flowers out, natural elements such as heat or cold will destroy them. Always encase them in glass or seal them in an air tight container.
Most businesses that preserve bouquets offer display cases and frames.
Dry your bouquet out yourself by hanging the flowers upside down for a few weeks. After you dry them out, encase them in a glass display.
Avoid putting your flowers in an area where they can be damaged.
