The Timex Ironman watch beeps every hour, on the hour, to keep you informed of the time. The digital wristwatch has an option to disable the beeping. If the watch is not beeping and has not been damaged by water, it's likely you have accidentally disabled beeping. Enabling this function will allow the watch to give you an hourly time reminder.
Press and hold the "Set/Recall" button until the time zone display begins to flash. The "Set/Recall" button is located on the upper left side of the watch face.
Press the "Next" button eight times. The "Next" button is located under the "Set/Recall" button, on the left side of the watch face. The "Chime" display will be flashing.
Push the "Right Arrow" button to turn the beep on. Once the beep is activated, press the "Set/Recall" button to save your settings and exit the setup menu.
If the sound of the beeping is slowly diminishing, the battery may be dying. Once the battery is replaced, the beeping should be loud and noticeable again.
If the watch becomes wet, the speakers may become damaged. There will be no way to repair the damage the water caused.
