How to Set the Alarm on the Casio G-Shock

The Casio G-Shock is a series of watches designed for durability. There are dozens of G-Shock watches; they are identified by their module number, a four-digit number located on the back of the watch. Most G-Shock watches allow you to set a daily alarm. Although the procedure to set the alarm varies between G-Shock watch models, it isn't difficult, and it only takes a couple of minutes.

Module 3180 and 3194

Press the button on the lower-left edge of the G-Shock watch multiple times to enter alarm mode. Stop pushing the button when the display shows "AL."

Push the button on the lower-right edge of the watch to toggle through the alarm options. You can program up to four alarms. Choose "AL1," "AL2," "AL3 or "AL4."

Push and hold the button on the upper-left edge for two seconds. The hour display will start to blink. This is where you'll set the alarm.

Push the button on the lower-right edge of the watch to set the hour. Push the button on the lower-left edge to switch to the minute display. Push the button on the lower-right edge of the watch to set the minute.

Push the button on the upper-left edge to set the alarm for the time.

Module 5121

Push the button on the lower-left edge of the watch multiple times until the left clock hand hovers above "ALM."

Push the button on the lower-right edge of the watch to set the alarm time. Stop when the desired alarm time shows on the display.

Push the button on the upper-left edge until the watch's second hand selects "On." This tells you the alarm is activated.

Module 1289

Press the button on the lower-left edge of the G-Shock watch multiple times to enter alarm mode. Stop pushing the button when the display shows "AL."

Press the "Set -" or "Set +" button to set the alarm hour. Push the button on the lower-left edge to switch to the minute display.

Press the "Set -" or "Set +" button to set the alarm minute. Push the button on the lower-left edge to save the changes.
