Bagels are easy to prepare and carry, making them a great breakfast item for people with little time to eat in the morning. The Parmesan Cheese Bagel from Costco's bakery also benefits from the added saltiness and flavor of Parmesan cheese.
Calories, Fat And Carbohydrates
One 120-g Costco Parmesan Cheese Bagel contains 330 calories, 1.5 g of fat with no saturated fat or trans fat, and 70 g of carbohydrates including 6 g of sugars.
Calorie Composition
Carbohydrates make up 85 percent of the Costco Parmesan Cheese Bagel's calories at 280 carbohydrate calories. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that 45 percent to 65 percent of consumed calories from carbohydrates. Fat, however, makes up less than 1 percent of the bagel's calories.
Considerations
This bagel has no trans fat or saturated fat and is low in added sugar. In addition, it has about the same total calorie count as a typical 120-g egg bagel with no cheese, as defined by the USDA. Consider that at 330 calories, however, one Costco Parmesan Cheese Bagel will give you 16.5 percent of your calories for a day based on a 2,000-calorie diet.
