How to Deep Cleanse Your Pores

Every day, your skin protects your body and absorbs dirt, oil and makeup. Even if you wash your face daily, residue builds up in your pores, making your skin feel and look greasy. Your pores benefit from an occasional deep cleaning to extract this dirt and residue. You don't need to pay for skin treatment at the spa or salon to deep-clean your pores. Your skin will look and feel healthier with a mask made from ingredients you may already have in your kitchen.

Blend together in a microwave-safe bowl 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin and 1 1/2 tablespoons of milk. Put the bowl in the microwave and heat it for about 10 seconds.

Dip a cosmetic brush or other applicator into the gelatin mixture. Spread the mixture across your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Do not apply the mixture around your eyes. Rinse the applicator with clean water after applying the mixture.

Let the gelatin mixture dry on your face. This usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. After the mask feels dry, peel it off your face and discard.

Cool off your skin with a cool compress, if desired.
