Part a section of hair to approximately the same diameter as the loop on the top of the synthetic dreads.

Grab a bobby pin and attach it to the ends of the sectioned off hair to hold it together. The bobby pin will act as the sewing needle to help you push the natural hair through the synthetic dread.

Thread the bobby pin through the loop at the top of the dread and pull the rest of the hair through so that the dread is against the scalp.

Braid the dread into the rest of the section of hair, using the dread as one of the three divisions of hair needed to create a braid. Braid until the dread is well attached.

Repeat until the dreads are all attached to your hair. Make the sections of hair the same size so the hairstyle looks uniformed.
