Philip's Sonicare line of electronic toothbrushes come equipped with two timers to help you manage your brushing. The first is the "Smartimer." This timer lasts for two minutes--the brushing duration recommended by dentists. The second timer is a "Quadpacer," which beeps at 30-second intervals to let users know when to move on to another section of the mouth during the two-minute brushing session. Both of these timers can be paused at any time. However, if you must restart the Sonicare's timer, you must reset the toothbrush.
Return the Sonicare toothbrush to the charger base with the logo facing towards you. This will reset the timer. To start it again, simply placing it in the base will reset the charger. If it does not, move on to Step 2.
Depress the power button on the handle of your Sonicare toothbrush during your brushing session to pause the brush's counter.
Wait 60 seconds.
Start the brush again. The timer will reset for a full two-minute timed brushing session.
