How to Make a Negroni Cocktail

If you like a drink that isn't overly sweet and that has a nice balance of flavors, you should definitely try the Negroni cocktail. It's wonderful in it's simplicity, and so easy that even a complete beginner can prepare it with ease. You will find variations of the drink online, but the most classic preparation is best in this case.

Gather your Ingredients and Tools

You don't need anything fancy like a cocktail shaker to make a Negroni. This drink is stirred, not shaken. A vegetable peeler is really the only tool you need for creating the garnish. A jigger is helpful, but a liquid measuring cup will also get the job done.

Peel the Orange

Peel off a nice slice of zest to use as garnish. Save the orange for another use.

Pour the Vermouth

In a short glass filled with ice, add the sweet red vermouth.

Add the Campari

Pour in the Campari.

Add the Gin

Pour in the gin.

Stir

Stir the ingredients together.

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with the orange peel and enjoy.
