Shea butter is extracted from shea tree seeds and often used to make soap. According to the Vitamin Stuff website, shea butter is rich in vitamins and can be beneficial when used on your scalp and hair because it also moisturizes. Olive oil can be combined with shea butter to create a home scalp and hair treatment. The Olive Oil Source website states that olive oil is not only a great deep conditioner, but it also has the ability to control dandruff.
Place 1 tablespoon of shea butter in a small bowl and set it out in the sun, so it can soften up.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil to the shea butter and mix the two ingredients together.
Mix 1 tablespoon of conditioner in with the shea butter/olive oil mixture.
Massage the homemade hair and scalp remedy in to your scalp and run some of it through your hair. You can let it sit overnight and wash it out in the morning or wear it as a leave-in conditioner.
