So, today is your birthday. This is the one day of the year when everything is supposed to be about you, so be sure you make it that way. Pack your bags, call your friends, and head south to Florida. Miami has those warm sandy beaches and hot summer nights that make it the best of both worlds and the ideal spot for you to spend your birthday.

Go to the Beach

Miami’s beaches are some of the state’s most beautiful. With a wide array from Bal Harbor to Virginia Key, each beach offers its own special details. Haulover Beach Park features a shaded dune area pre-equipped for a barbecue. It is within walking distance from the Biscayne Bay, and a full sized volleyball court and golf course. If you are more interested in water sports, then Hobie Beach is the area for you. Pets are welcome and they have rentals for windsurfing, jet skiing, sailing, and boats.

Treat Yourself to Dinner

Miami’s restaurants are worth the trip just for their food. These restaurants offer delectable dishes from every culture. You will be hooked like the seafood you are eating, and will be disappointed when you return to those boring chain restaurants at home. Miami offers indoor and outdoor dining, with an array of flavors sure to please even the pickiest eater among you.

Bongo’s Cuban Café pays homage to our nearest island neighbors with its tribute to old Havana in the Tamales and Plantains. This traditional eatery turns into a disco at dusk with a superman switch of lighting and tables adding to its attraction for those enjoying the nightlife.

Find Some Local Hot Spots

Hot spots are not something you have to search for in Miami. This city is built around the businesses that maintain it, and the party, drinking, dancing bars provide the most revenue.

If you are searching for the best dancing then visit the Play Bar & Lounge. Play lives up to its name nightly as it features a cabaret show. Play Bar & Lounge is located in the Circa 39 Hotel and offers boudoir styling with a vibe that is laid back.

Check out the Local Wildlife

As if all of this weren’t reason enough to visit Miami, there is always the wildlife. You can try scuba diving or snorkeling to take in some of the underwater wildlife that surrounds the southern tip of Florida. Just be sure you don’t become a treat for some of the more aggressive critters down there.
