The flowers are blooming and beach season is on its way. As spring approaches, celebrate the season with a spring fling party. Gather up your friends, throw on your favorite spring dress and party it up, spring fling style. Read on to learn how to plan a spring fling party.

Step 1

Send an evite to your friends inviting them to your party. Tell them to wear bright, spring colors.

Step 2

Spring is all about vivid, lively colors and soft pastels. Grab some colorful flowers from a local florist, such as tulips, daffodils and irises. Places them in two vases with water on each side of the food table.

Step 3

For the food table, cut up pineapples, strawberries, oranges and other fruit and put it onto a tray.

Step 4

Prepare a fresh salad and two meat dishes that are easy to serve, or pick up finger-food style. For dessert, purchase fruit tarts or peach cobbler from a local bakery.

Step 5

Serve punch, bottled water and/or white wine for those who drink alcohol.

Step 6

As guests arrive, put on some music. Give them time to mingle and grab food and drinks from the food table.

Step 7

Play competition hangman, Pictionary or some other type of competitive guessing game. While this may seem juvenile, this is a great way to get guests interacting. There should be a prize for the winning team.

Step 8

After the game, turn up the music and allow guests to continue to mingle, snack and socialize.
