Karo brand sweet corn syrup serves as useful ingredients for making compotes, sauces and syrups. Easy homemade pancake syrup doesn't require many ingredients or much time to complete. This gives you more time to enjoy the flavors of your breakfast without spending all of your time preparing it.
Add the corn syrup, maple extract and butter to the small saucepan.
Heat the pan slowly, on a low setting, for five minutes. The butter will melt into a liquid and thin out the corn syrup a little bit so that it drizzles easily.
Whisk in the powdered sugar, this sweetens the homemade maple-flavored pancake syrup.
Whisk the heating mixture for an additional minute while it warms. Remove it from the heat and serve over pancakes immediately.
