How to Make Hair Extensions Wavy

by Lillante Remy ; Updated September 28, 2017

Are you wearing straight extensions and looking for a change? Many celebrities such as Beyonce, Shakira, Ciara, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and Jessica Simpson have amazing wavy hairstyles.

Items you will need

  • Wide-tooth comb
  • Four rubber bands
  • Mousse
  • Setting lotion
Step 1

Spray a generous amount of medium to light hold mousse or setting lotion into your palms and apply to hair extensions. Use a wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute throughout the hair.

Step 2

Divide hair into four sections. Tightly braid each section, securing the ends with a rubber band.

Step 3

Let the extensions air dry. Do not use a blow dryer. If you have the time, it is best to leave the braids in overnight. When the braids are completely dry, remove the rubber bands.

Step 4

Unbraid the four braids and use your fingers to comb through the hair. Now you have beautiful wavy hair.

  • It is best to use a wide-tooth comb on hair extensions as you don't want to create tangles and pull off the hair.
