Hunter wellington boots are a popular brand of rubber rain boots. Hunter boots come in a variety of sizes, styles and colors to suit any taste. With extended wear, Hunter rain boots can become cracked. A crack in a rubber boot can allow water to seep inside the boot, destroying the shoe's usefulness. Rather than replacing the expensive rain boots, you can instead repair the crack by filling it in with waterproof glue. This glue will hold the crack together and prevent water from seeping inside the boot.

Wash the entire boot with a degreasing soap and a soft cloth. Rinse the boot with clean water to remove any soap residue. Dry the boot completely with a towel.

Pinch open the crack in the boot. Spread a line of silicone glue inside the crack. Press the two sides of the crack together.

Use a clamp, if necessary, to hold the two sides of the crack together. Allow the glue to cure for 24 hours.

Test the boots for water tightness by placing them in a bucket of water for about 10 minutes. If the interior of the boot is wet, then check for additional cracks or leaks and seal them before wearing the boots again. Repeat the process as many times as necessary to restore the boots to their original usefulness.
