S.T. Dupont makes high-end accessories for men, including a line of elegant lighters. The lighters come in a variety of designs and colors to complement formal and casual attire. S.T. Dupont lighters are designed to last for a long time, but the flint can become worn. You can replace the flint with a new one in a few steps.
Open the lighter as you would if you were going to light a cigarette or a cigar. Find the release pin located near the hinge. Press the pin down with your fingernail to release the slide covering the flint.
Push the flint slide back slowly. Do not use too much force or it could break. As you push it back, the slide will rise, allowing you to grasp it with your fingers and pull it up and away from the lighter. This will expose the flint so you can change it.
Place a finger on the end of the flint wheel and gently tilt the lighter so the old flint falls out. Dispose of the old flint. Place the new flint into the channel against the flint wheel where the old flint was located.
Place the slide back over the slide channel. Gently press forward to move the slide back over the channel until it locks into place over the flint wheel. Do not use excess force: If the slide does not lock into place, slide it back out and try again. When the release pin returns to its original position, the slide is in place.
