Foods to Make Skin Tight

Skin becomes loose and saggy as you age, causing you to feel old and unattractive. Although you can have your skin tightened with procedures at a dermatologist's or plastic surgeon's office, these approaches are often invasive and require a long recovery time. One alternative is to try using natural methods to tighten your skin, such as applying different foods onto your skin.

Egg Whites

High in protein and minerals, egg whites can tighten the skin when applied as a mask. To make an egg white mask, crack an egg over a bowl, and separate out the egg white by rocking the egg back and forth in between the shell. Discard the yolk. Whip the egg white for 3 minutes with a whisk, then spread the egg white over your freshly washed skin. Allow the egg white mask to dry for 20 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat three times per week to tighten skin.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is highly acidic and contains large amounts of vitamin C and antioxidants. Applying lemon juice to your skin can help remove dead skin cells and remove free radicals to help tighten your pores. Cut a fresh lemon into slices, then place the slices over your skin, allowing the lemon slices to remain on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with water, and repeat once per week to tighten skin.

Cucumbers

Cucumbers contain high levels of enzymes that not only tighten skin, but also can help eliminate inflammation and water retention. Applying cucumbers to the face can be especially helpful if you suffer from puffy or tired eyes. Cut two slices of cucumber 1/4 inches thick, and place them onto a sheet of waxed paper. Place the slices into the freezer for 5 minutes, then lay the cucumber slices over your eyes. Allow the slices to remain on your closed eyes for 15 minutes, repeating this process daily to tighten the skin around your eyes.

Kiwi

Naturally high in vitamin C and antioxidants, kiwi can be applied to the skin as a mask to help tighten the skin. Peel two kiwi and place them into a food processor, processing the fruit for 20 seconds. Spread the kiwi puree onto your face, allowing the mask to remain on your skin for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, and repeat once per week to tighten your skin.
