The Best Places to Get Married in Utah

by Aubrey Warshaw

Whether you decide on an intimate or extravagant wedding, Utah offers some of the best locales. Given the state's diverse climate, the best wedding venues offer an elegant and treasured wedding experience both indoors and outdoors. Long summer days, fall colors and serene winter scenes make Utah a favorite destination for weddings year-round.

Homestead Resort

The Homestead Resort, located in Midway, is a full-service destination wedding locale. Its 150 acres offer a variety of activities and amenities to enhance the wedding experience. The property has a rich history of planning weddings since 1886. The rooms used for indoor weddings reflect Victorian, Western or country traditions and its lush garden and mountain backdrop are perfect for outdoor ceremonies. The resort has 142 guest rooms as well as a resort spa; 18-hole golf course; horseback riding; snowmobiling; cross-country skiing; and a crater for scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming.

McCune Mansion

The McCune Mansion is a unique wedding venue, a Victorian mansion located in downtown Salt Lake City that offers an elegant and intimate setting to tie the knot. The spacious facility consists of a banquet room, grand ballroom and dance floor spread throughout three stories, offering plenty of great options for ceremonies and toasts. While it can accommodate hundreds of guests, the mansion's intimate ambiance is also perfect for much smaller wedding parties.

Snowbird Resort

The Snowbird Resort, located up Little Cottonwood Canyon, offers a majestic setting for a special wedding. Friends and family can enjoy panoramic views, beautiful mountain scenes, and tall pines and aspens. The canyon's fall colors, summer days, and winter scenes make Snowbird a favorite for photographers. The Snowbird Resort can host the wedding ceremony, reception and rehearsal dinner, and guests can stay onsite, offering the ultimate in convenience.

Deer Valley Resort

The Deer Valley Resort is a magnificent facility in the solitude of a secluded mountain setting in Park City. Its three lodges, Snow Park, Silver Lake and Empire Canyon, each offer outside patios and majestic mountain views, as well as vaulted ceilings, large Douglas fir pillars, rock fireplaces, and brass accents. Summer weddings are especially popular in this lush mountain venue, since its beautiful grounds are ideal for hosting wedding guests. Hotel rooms, condominiums and private homes are available for those who wish to stay onsite.

Tuscany

Tuscany, located near the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, is an elegant, award-winning Italian restaurant designed in the style of an old Italian mountain lodge. Its cuisine is superb and its tree-lined patio gardens and six private romantic dining rooms offer a traditional yet intimate ambience for weddings. The restaurant can host rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies and receptions.
