Opened in 1934 in order to connect the city of Tampa, Florida with the town of Clearwater, the Courtney Campbell Causeway is just under ten miles long. Given its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, the restaurants located on this section of the road feature many seafood dishes like sauteed salmon, jumbo shrimp platters, and ahi tuna burgers, but filet mignon and chicken and pasta dishes are also available.
Aquaknox
Featuring both an outside patio for its guests and an indoor circular dining room with linen-covered tables, the Aquaknox seafood restaurant offers a number of seafood specialties. Included are a grilled Atlantic fresh salmon platter prepared with salsa verde and served with yellow pepper coulis roasted tomato salad. Meat lovers can order the filet mignon dinner that features steak prepared with Canadian bacon and served with madeira mustard sauce. The ahi tuna burger comes with fresh cucumber and is served with French fries. In summer 2010, dinner entree prices were in the $22 to $35 range.

Whiskey Joe's Bar and Grill
Whiskey Joe's Bar and Grill is outfitted with an outdoor patio area, a large bar section, and a sports bar equipped with 14 flat-screen television sets. One of its specialty items is the po' boy grouper sandwich that is served on split baked Cuban bread. The beer-battered fish and chips dinner is served with French fries and the restaurant's signature dipping sauces. The black and bleu burger features melted bleu cheese, spicy Cajun seasonings, and caramelized onions. Flatbread pizzas from the lunch menu feature pepperoni toppings, chicken toppings, and barbecued pork toppings. In summer 2010, dinner entree prices were in the $8 to $15 range.

Crabby Bill's Seafood
First opened to the public by founders Bill and Delores Loder in the 1980's, Crabby Bill's Seafood features casual dining areas and menus specializing in a variety of fish recipes. Situated in the Best Western waterfront section overlooking the ocean, its menu items include the surf and turf platter, served with center-cut filet mignon and sugarcane shrimp. The jumbo Caribbean lobster-tail dinner comes with a one-pound broiled rock lobster basted in garlic butter and served with steamed broccoli and a lemon slice. The breaded calamari platter is served with a fresh bowl of warm marinara sauce. In summer 2001, dinner entree prices were in the $12 to $25 range.
