Kemah, Texas is a small former fishing town approximately 30 miles southwest of Houston, Texas. Today, Kemah has a bustling tourist, shipping and commercial fishing economy because of its proximity to Houston and the Houston ship channel. The Kemah Boardwalk, owned by Landry’s Restaurants, was developed in the late 90s. Now it attracts visitors coming to enjoy the restaurants, carnival rides, boat rides and shops. A key waterfront event in Kemah is the Christmas Lights Parade where boats of all sizes decorate their boat for a Christmas parade beginning in Clear Lake, Texas and turning around at the Kemah Boardwalk.

Windsong Charters

Windsong is a 58-foot Taiwan sailing ketch built in 1978 based at Waterford Marina in Clear Lake, Texas. Start your evening off with a Caesar salad, prime filet steak and Caribbean lobster tail (for two) and dessert. Then go sailing for 3 hours. There are no set dinner cruise hours. The trip depends on the time for sunset and your preference for when to cruise and eat. Windsong Charters will sail at sunset and then serve dinner or serve dinner at sunset and cruise for three hours. Windsong Charters can accommodate up to four boats and dinner for 48 at Waterford marina pavilion.

Star Fleet operates three motor yachts ranging in length from 74 to 100 feet. Two hour dinner and dance cruises operate on Friday and Saturday. Guests can park their cars for free and board yachts from Star Fleet’s private marina. Chef Arthur provides a complete dinner including salad, starch of your choice, vegetable, bread, dessert and tea or coffee. Meat choices include chicken, tilapia, shrimp or beef.
