A curly weave can give your short to medium hair extra length with curly style. Caring for your weave should not be a chore; it should be easy. Protect your hair’s “natural curl” by using the right products and proper shampooing techniques. Without the necessary extra care, you curls could end up looking like a puffy mess instead of a careful coiffure. Learn how to take care of your weave so your new look will last a long time.
Wash your curly weave in the shower where it can hang loosely.
Apply salon-quality shampoos to your hair. Squeeze the shampoo into your hand; a quarter-sized amount is fine. Massage the shampoo into the weave to wash it. Avoid washing along bonding area.
Rinse the weave with cool or warm water. Gently squeeze the water from the hair and apply a quality conditioner. Squirt a dime-sized amount into your hand and then massage it into your hair.
Leave the conditioner in your hair at least 1 minute. Rinse the conditioner from the hair with cool or warm water. Wring the water from the hair gently.
Step out of the shower and gently towel dry the curly hair.
Squirt a leave-in conditioner into the hair. Work it into the curls with your fingers. Allow your hair to dry completely before going to bed.
