If you live in your sandals during the warm summer months, it is likely that they become quite ripe with foot odor. Sweat and feet that become dirty through the ventilation of sandals can contribute to very smelly sandals over time. Learn how to remove foot odors from sandals and keep your summer footwear smelling as sweet as they look.
Choose sandals that are made from natural materials that allow air to circulate around your feet. While this will not completely eliminate odors, it will help reduce them.
Spray sandals with a deodorizer to help eliminate foot odor.
Place your sandals in the sun after wearing them to help eliminate bacteria. When bacteria is neutralized, the odors will dissipate.
Sprinkle baking soda into the sandals after wearing them. Leave the baking soda on the insoles of the sandals overnight and shake them out the next morning. Baking soda helps eliminate bacteria as well.
