The United States Navy has a strict dress code that applies to all members of its branch of service. This dress code dictates what uniforms should be worn to which events, as well as how those uniforms should be put together. Meeting the standards set forth in the uniform regulations of the Navy is a critical requirement for all service members.
Place your name tag over the right breast pocket of your white Navy dress shirt.
Measure the space between the tag and the top of the pocket. The name tag should be placed ¼ of an inch above the pocket.
Center the name tag over the pocket, leaving an equal distance from the side edges of the name tag to each side of the pocket. Use a ruler to ensure this measurement is accurate.
Put your dress shirt on and double-check your appearance in the mirror. Your tag should look centered, straight, and clean.
