How to Naturally Get Rid of Ingrown Hairs

Itchy, unsightly, and sometimes painful, ingrown hairs--hairs that have doubled back and grown into the skin--are an unwelcome consequence of hair-removal methods like shaving and waxing. Ingrowns are more common among curly-haired people, but anyone can get them. Luckily, it's entirely possible and very easy to get rid of ingrown hairs naturally.

Apply a warm compress against the area that has ingrown hairs. Hold it there for a few moments.

Use tweezers to gently pluck the ingrown hairs from your body. This may sting and leave a red mark, but it is effective.

Use Kalo as alternative tweezers. It is an all-natural ingrown hair treatment that is composed of various essential oils and plant extracts. It will painlessly get rid of ingrown hairs.

Apply some tea tree oil once the hairs are removed. This will kill any bacteria that may have been caused by the ingrown hair and will prevent any from entering your body where they once were.

Add a touch of witch hazel to kill even more bacteria, especially if you removed many ingrown hairs. This is another natural antiseptic, much like tea tree oil.

Wash the area well after with soap and water.
