Sneaker shields are a type of shoe tree that can be worn with your sneakers. It is designed to provide comfort, while keeping your sneakers free from creases. Sneakers can be expensive, so you need to take the necessary steps to keep them looking new. There are times you may not be able to find the exact size that fits snugly in your sneakers. To solve this issue, you can use a larger one and neatly trim it down to size.
Remove the original insole from the inside of your sneakers. Turn over the sneaker shield, made from soft silicone gel, and place the original sneaker insole inside it. If your sneaker doesn't have a removable insole, use your sneakers as a measuring guide. Place the sneaker on the sneaker shield and use a pen to trace the pattern.
Use a pen to trace the pattern of the original sneaker insole onto the sneaker shield. Make sure that you don't trace the line too exact. Leave an extra 1/2 inch just in case you make a wrong cut.
Trim off the excess material from your sneaker shield using scissors. Follow the marked line carefully to avoid cutting the shield too short.
Fit the trimmed sneaker shield inside your sneakers. The sneaker shield should fit neatly inside your sneakers without curling up.
