How to Cook Fresh Scallops

Cooking fresh scallops is quite simple if you have the right instructions. If you are going to purchase fresh scallops one thing you need to know is that they must be cooked within one to two days to keep them from going bad. Here is a step-by-step guide to cooking fresh scallops.

Cover scallops in flour. Make sure you have covered the entire scallop to ensure they cook properly.

Heat both the oil and the butter in a skillet on a low temperature.

Once the butter and oil are warm add crushed garlic and cook it until it is brown.

Once the garlic has browned add the flour covers scallops and sauté them on a low heat until they are lightly colored.

Once the scallops have gotten a nice golden color add the white wine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and then garnish them with parsley. Serve immediately.
