Measure 1 cup of dry brown rice using a measuring cup. Place this rice into a jar.

Remove soaked rice from the jar and drain in a colander. Place drained rice and 2 cups of water into your rice steamer. Remove lid from the steamer and fluff rice with a fork. Serve immediately.
