Severe dry skin is a common problem for many people. Chronic dry skin can be exacerbated by too much sun or harsh winter weather. A good remedy for dry skin is a regular moisture-rich skin care routine, but sometimes your skin needs an immediate moisture pick-me-up. Some of the best quick remedies for dry skin are natural and may already be in your pantry.

Mix together the honey, egg yolk, almond oil, olive oil and yogurt in a small bowl until well combined.

Apply the mixture liberally to your face avoiding the area surrounding your eyes. The honey has antioxidant properties, the egg yolk and yogurt will rehydrate dry patches and the olive and almond oil contain good fats and vitamins that can help rejuvenate skin.

Leave the mask on for 10 minutes, allowing it to dry on your face before rinsing thoroughly with cool water.

Apply toner and a rich moisturizer to your face to seal in the benefits of the mask.

  • If you suffer from oily skin with dry patches you can substitute an egg white for the egg yolk.

Use a quality moisturizer made with natural ingredients; synthetic moisturizers can clog pores and negatively affect your skin.
