Wrinkles, those troublesome lines at the corners of your eyes and around your mouth, are made more pronounced by overexposure to sun, smoking and stress; heredity plays a role as well. But the main cause of wrinkles is simple aging, causing your skin to lose its youthful elasticity. The good news is you can use brandy in home remedies that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Brandy contains antioxidants, the anti-aging substances that fight harmful free-radical formation in your cells. According to the Medical News Today website, a shot of brandy has the same antioxidant potential as the daily recommended allowance of Vitamin C. Of course, you'll be applying the brandy to your face. But your skin may well benefit from its restorative powers.

Brandy Rosemary Wrinkle Treatment

Simmer a half cup of fresh rosemary leaves in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes, then stir in a half cup of brandy. Aside from the skin-restoring effects of the brandy, you will get the benefit of rosemary. According to the Dermaxime website, rosemary has toning and binding effects on loose, sagging skin.

Allow the mixture to simmer for 15 minutes longer, then let it cool and strain it into a jar, using a strainer or a square of muslin.

Blot the mixture around eyes or mouth--or wherever wrinkles appear--with a clean cotton ball. Excess mixture can be refrigerated.

Wash the mixture from your face with cool water after three minutes and pat dry.

Apply a good-quality moisturizing lotion.

Repeat the rosemary brandy treatment at night.

Brandy Wrinkle Cream

Whip two egg whites with a whisk or in a blender until they are frothy, then blend in 3 tbsp. of cucumber juice. Egg whites contain L-cysteine, an amino acid. According to the Healing with Nutrition website, L-cysteine is involved in collagen production for skin elasticity.

Add 2 tbsp. of lemon juice and 1.5 tbsp. of brandy to the mixture and stir until ingredients are thoroughly mixed, and the consistency is creamy.

Apply the cream liberally to wrinkled areas once in the morning and once at night. The cream can be stored in the refrigerator up to a week in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
