How to Re-grow Eyebrows Over Plucked

by Melody Dawn ; Updated September 28, 2017

If you have over plucked your eyebrows it can take up to two months to begin to see new growth. Eyebrow follicles are sensitive to over plucking, and if damaged the hair may never grow back. Hair removed via electrolysis or an electrical epilator will not grow back. For hairs that were plucked, there are a few things you can do to encourage healthy re-growth.

Wait for all of the hair to grow back before you begin plucking. Leave stray hairs alone to prevent over plucking again. Let your hair grow naturally.

Wash your face first thing in the morning and again at night with a facial wash before you go to bed. Keep the follicles clean and prevent bumps as the hair re-grows.

Eat a diet that is high in protein to encourage hair growth. Choose healthy foods such as fish, chicken and eggs.

Fill out your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil while you wait. Choose a color that is close to your natural hair color. Gently pull the pencil away near the edges of your brow to prevent a painted on look.
