Grilled vegetables serve as an appropriate side dish for grilled meats and seafood. They can also be used in salads or eaten on their own as part of a light meal or snack. Heat the grill. Cut the romaine lettuce hearts in half lengthwise. Brush each half with olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper on them according to your taste preferences.
