Corn meal is flour made by grinding dried corn. It can be ground into a variety of consistencies and is also known as corn flour when it’s finely ground. The cornmeal that’s most common in the United States contains little of the husk and germ of the corn kernel. This type of cornmeal is known more specifically as white corn meal.
