If you're wrestling with wrinkles, you're not alone. In 2013, there were more than 6.1 million procedures of botulinum toxin (Botox) performed in the United States, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. But before going under the knife -- or having fillers injected in your skin -- it's a good idea to try reducing wrinkles in a more natural way. In addition to eating healthful foods rich in antioxidants, getting plenty of sleep and exercise and cleansing with hydrating products, apply a weekly hydrating and nourishing mask to your face.

Powerful Retinoids

Find an over-the-counter facial mask featuring retinol. A retinoid is considered one of the best anti-aging ingredients because it boosts collagen strength and production which lessens the look of wrinkles. This vitamin A-derived compound is proven to reduce fine lines, smooth out skin texture and help balance pigmentation, according to board-certified dermatologist to the stars, Dr. Howard Murad. A good one to try is Shiseido's Benefiance Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask. It features liquid retinol and chlorella plant extract to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids and Vitamin C

Choose a skin-sloughing facial mask with glycolic and lactic acids. These wrinkle-fighters exfoliate the skin by removing the outer layers of dead skin cells to expose new, fresh cells underneath. The results are a brighter complexion, less dryness and diminished fine lines. Try using Freeman's Facial Enzyme Mask once a week before cleansing and moisturizing. Another fine option is Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Treatment Mask, which helps plump the skin with glycerin and exfoliate dark spots.

Moisture-Rich Mask

It's essential to keep your skin hydrated so it stays supple and soft. Moisturize your skin while it's still damp, with a mask that features collagen, keratin, lipids and humectants. Try Philosophy's Lasting Hope mask which features vitamins A, C and E known to hydrate and rejuvenate dry, wrinkly skin. Or put your wrinkles in the background with Super 3-Minute Facial by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. This quick mask features ginger root extract and mineral complexes that brighten dull skin.

Homemade Hydration

Make your own wrinkle-fighting mask by mashing one banana, 1/4 cup of plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons of honey together in a small bowl. Smooth onto your entire face and wait 10 minutes. Afterward, cleanse your skin with a moisturizing face wash containing ceramides, stearic acid and glycerin. Or combine 1/2 of an avocado, one banana, 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/4 cup of almond milk. Mix in a blender until smooth. Apply to your dry face and leave on for 1 hour. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
