Make sure you are getting your recommended eight hours of sleep each night. Without adequate sleep, your body will not have enough energy to nourish hair and stimulate growth. Hair growth may actually occur more rapidly during sleep, so if you're not getting enough, you're missing out.

Get Moving

Regular exercise improves circulation throughout the entire body, including the scalp. Increased blood flow means more blood and nutrients being supplied to hair follicles. Although it will not produce the same results as exercise, you can also increase blood circulation to the scalp by stimulating your scalp with a daily gentle massage.

A healthy diet high in protein is one way to increase hair growth by increasing blood flow and the amount of nutrients delivered to the hair follicles. Some herbs and simple kitchen ingredients also have properties that may encourage hair regrowth. Castor oil, coconut oil, Amla oil, olive oil and apple cider vinegar can be massaged into the scalp for hair growth. The pulp of a fresh onion, when rubbed on the scalp, has the same effect. Drinking spinach, alfalfa, lettuce and carrot juices may improve hair growth as well.
