Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer. It has many healing benefits, such as treating psoriasis, dermatitis and dry scalp. The oil can also help to delay wrinkles, heal damaged skin tissues and heal bruises. It also helps to protect skin from nicks and cuts. Coconut oil is an effective natural massage oil and shaving gel. It is the perfect solution for men and women with sensitive skin. It is also a safe answer for men and women seeking a shaving moisturizer without harmful chemicals or ingredients that may harm the skin.

Apply a coating of the coconut oil to wet skin. Do this by placing several drops of the oil into your hand and spreading it onto your face. You will want the coating thick enough to cream on top of the skin, lightly. If the oil soaks immediately into your skin, go ahead and let it absorb into your skin and add another layer. Don't expect the oil to foam or lather like commercial shaving foams or gels.

Dip your razor in water and begin stroking the razor along your skin gently, pressing the razor against your skin moving into the direction of the grain of the natural hair growth. Shaving with the hair growth grain pattern will help to prevent razor burn. Shaving against the grain could cause infected hair follicles. Shave gently, being careful to not move too fast along the skin.

Rinse the razor often between strokes or mini-strokes.

Rinse off the skin after shaving with warm water.

Dry the skin thoroughly with a soft towel. Dab a bit of coconut oil onto the previously shaved skin for added moisturizing.
