Items you will need
- 3 cups total of your favorite raw nuts in any combination
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- large saute pan
- large baking pan
Making salted mixed nuts is easier than you think. With a few ingredients and basic steps, you can make this healthy and simple snack.
Prepare Mixed Nuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat oil in a large saute pan over medium heat.
When oil is warmed through, but not smoking, add nuts to saute pan and mix in oil.
Sprinkle salt over nuts and stir to incorporate for 1 minute.
Pour nuts onto a large baking pan and roast in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes.
Allow nuts to cool before serving.
For spicy mixed nuts add 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper. Or, for sweeter mixed nuts, add 2 Tablespoons sugar.
Make sure to stir nuts occasionally while roasting in oven to prevent burning.
