Got a craving for french fries but don't want to eat the grease and calories fried foods have? This healthier version eliminates all that oil while keeping the flavor.
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Peel one potato for each person. Slice the potatoes in half, then cut each half into thick french fry-style wedges.
Put one egg white per potato in a bowl. Dip the potato wedges into beaten egg whites, then place each wedge on a nonstick baking tray.
Sprinkle with your choice of seasonings. Garlic salt, thyme, onion powder and other spices add to the flavor of healthy french fries. Add a dash of pepper and a little paprika if desired.
Bake french fries for 30 minutes or until golden brown. When you remove the french fries, sprinkle with a little salt. Serve hot.
