Packaged facial wipes, used for cleansing, refreshing and removing makeup, are available at many drug and department stores. While they are quick and useful, packaged face wipes are quite expensive. Making your own face wipes at home takes only a few ingredients and is a simple way to enjoy the benefits of the packaged versions, without the added cost.
Use a serrated knife to cut a roll of high-quality paper towels in half, through the middle. The result should be two short rolls of paper towel.
Remove the cardboard from the centers of the paper towel rolls.
Pour two cups of water, two tablespoons of baby oil and one tablespoon of baby shampoo into a bowl and mix them well.
Place one of the rolls of paper towel into a plastic container that has a tightly-fitted lid.
Pour the mixture of water, baby oil and baby shampoo over the paper towels in the container. Put the lid on the container and allow the paper towels to absorb the liquid.
Use your homemade face wipes by pulling the center sheet from the roll of paper towel. Seal the container tightly after each use.
