A Crock Pot -- or any type of slow cooker, for that matter -- is one of those appliances that seems to take up residence in most kitchens. Read through your recipe carefully before you begin to cook. Most slow cooker recipes call for either a four- to eight-hour cook time, so plan accordingly.
