All types of clothing can end up getting unattractive bump marks on the shoulder from being hung frequently on a hanger. These bumps take away from the clothing's appeal and can give off the notion that the wearer is not tidy or professional in a work setting. While precautions can be taken to keep new clothes from getting hanger bumps, such as not hanging your clothes or using padded hangers, there is a simple way to get rid of these bumps if you already have them.
Step 1
Pull on the shirt.
Step 2
Wet your fingers in running water.
Step 3
Rub your fingers across the knitwear bump forcefully for 5 to 10 seconds.
Step 4
After the bump is damp, flatten it more with your dry fingertips.
Step 5
Wait for the area to dry for about 10 minutes.
Step 6
Repeat if necessary.
