What's your daily skin care regimen?

Ever since my teen years, I've always washed my face with some type of cleanser. I remember being a fan of Clearasil until I got a facial at Biotherm and was immediately hooked. To this day, I wash my with Biotherm's Biosource Exfoliating Gel every morning (the fresh scent is heavenly!). Then, I use Fresh Rose Water toner (I like that is very light and alcohol-free), and I finish with a moisturizer which varies and currently is by Clarins. During the cold and dry months of winter, I use Tatcha Gold Camellia Oil to protect and hydrate my skin. Not only does it leave my skin highly moisturized for the harsh winter conditions, but it also has the loveliest and freshest scent ever. Every time I put it on I feel like I'm getting a spa treatment. :)

At night, no matter how late I arrive home or how tired I am, I religiously take off my makeup and apply a serum. I remove my makeup with Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and then I use Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, which I've been using for years. Two to three times a week I apply a face mask for some extra pampering and the ones I like are all from Fresh: Sugar Face Polish, Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask and Rose Face Mask. All three are fantastic and leave my skin feeling soft, hydrated and clean.

What makeup do you wear regularly?

I like to keep things as simple as possible, but I do have to do some cover-ups, so this is what I use: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Lancôme Dual-Finish Powder, Nars Blush in Orgasm (it's true what they say about it being universally flattering!), Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess (has been my go-to bronzer for years!), YSL Touche Éclat (I like to use it as a highlighter and to "wake up" my eyes), Benefit Roller Lash or They're Real (both amazing!) and Benefit Gimme Brow.

Having said that, I've been meaning to switch my makeup for options that are more natural and/or organic, so hopefully I'll make the switch soon and get some products from The Beauty Counter, Ilia and Bite Beauty.

How would you describe your approach to beauty?

I like to keep things simple and natural looking, so I rarely experiment with crazy colors and beauty trends. And since I really want to switch to natural products, I'm not experimenting with anything new unless is natural or organic. As for my must-haves, I feel like a good bronzer for healthy looking cheeks and a good mascara are at the top. I rarely leave the house without mascara.

Are you trying out any new products you don't typically use?

At the moment I'm trying some new Bite Beauty multitask sticks that I just received. They smell incredible and I like knowing that they are not made with harsh chemicals.

Do you have a DIY beauty treatment you love?

I wish I could say I do, but other than applying coconut oil to my feet and wearing socks overnight once a week, I don't. I feel like I should though, there are so many great and easy beauty DIYs!

What haircare products do you swear by?

I'm a bit of a low-maintenance type of gal when it comes to hair, and besides using a curling iron every now and then and occasionally finishing off my ends with a flat iron, I really don't do much to my hair. I'm a huge fan of Chamomile-based shampoos and I'm currently using one from Klorane that I LOVE. It leaves my hair super soft and it gives it a nice shine. I also love Kérastase products, in particular the Elixir Ultime line.

We have to ask, how do you create those perfectly tousled waves?

Oh, the full credit for those perfectly tousled waves goes to my sweet friend and hairstylist Aylin from Cabello by Carolina. 80% of the times you see me with great hair is thanks to her and the other 20% is either luck or what she has taught me. :)

What's your morning beverage of choice: juice, coffee or tea?

I love tea, but I usually drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up. On slow weekend mornings, I start the day with a cup of green tea or hot lemon water, but most of the time, it's just plain, cold water.

Do you have a regular fitness routine?

Yes, I love being active, and running and working out is definitely a big part of my lifestyle. I like to start the day with a good run or workout to wake up my body and mind and set the mood for the rest of the day. I get the majority of my workout from running, but I like to mix in a different sweat once or twice a week to keep things interesting. I'm currently doing a P90X interval workout once a week (makes you sweat a lot!) and sometimes I hit the pool for laps. I always finish a workout with a good core session and three times a week or so I do some light weight lifting (mostly arms and shoulders), push-ups (with some unique spins I have learned here and there) and burpees.

Are you a bath or shower woman?

Oh, I can't even remember the last time I took a bath! Definitely a shower woman, although the thought of a warm bath with some candles sounds pretty good to me. :)

What are you currently listening to? Is there a song, album or podcast you're loving right now?

I'm always looking up for new music for my running playlists, and some current faves are Beck's latest single "Wow," "This Girl" from Kungs, "Can't Hold Us" from The Heist, "Another Love" from Tom Odell, and "Downtown" from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

What's your most beloved item of clothing?

My most beloved item of clothing is definitely my leather jacket. It took me years (yes, years!) to get THE ONE. I've always wanted a great leather jacket — you know, the one you wear everywhere because is not just very you but because everything about it is 100% right — so I took my time finding the perfect one. I have to say that finding the right jacket is not that easy, and if you want one to last forever then you have to prepared to spend some cash. I saved up and found the perfect one last year and to this day it's been the best purchase I've ever made. I wear it with everything and anything and it's definitely what gets the most wear of all the items in my wardrobe.

What's one thing you do every day that makes you feel great?

Breaking a sweat! Nothing gets you in better mood and in higher spirits than a good workout.

What's a piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?

I think I'd tell my younger self to be more confident and not worry about what others think. Life is too short to be wasting time on things and thoughts that don't get you anywhere and that don't have a positive impact on your day-to-day. When we have confidence in ourselves all those thoughts and opinions become just a noise, and that's when we can live our life to the fullest and focus our attention on what really matters. It's all about priorities and perspective, and when you have both, I believe you are able to live a more meaningful life.

When do you feel most comfortable in your own skin?

I feel my most comfortable self when I'm eating healthy, making sure I'm getting enough protein (I'm vegetarian), and running strong (to my own standards).
