Micro Modal is a registered product of the textile company Lenzing and, according to its manufacturer, it is comparable a long staple cotton. It is made of fine beechwood pulp. Modal's characteristics include wide versatility, superlative softness and the ability to maintain these characteristics over a long period of time and through multiple washings. Its similarity to cotton means that it can be washed in the same manner, either by hand or in a washing machine.

Separate your dark Micro Modal pieces from your light pieces. If you have enough, create an entire load of white pieces to avoid any chance of color bleeding.

Load the pieces into your washing machine and include the appropriate amount of detergent for the size of your load, following your washing machine and detergent instructions.

Set the machine to wash the pieces in cold water to avoid shrinking or overly damaging the Micro Modal threads.

Scrub the clothes by hand as an alternative by soaking them in a tub of hot, soapy water and rubbing them vigorously against a rough surface, such as a washboard, to remove dirty residue. Rinse in clean water before drying.

Transfer the load to a drying machine or clip to a clothes line outside to dry.
