Many padded bras contain special memory foam or other specialized padding that will lose its shape if washed in the washing machine. The best way to protect them is to wash them by hand. This method will save you time and money, and will help the bra last a long time.
Fill the bathroom sink with cold water and no more than a capful of handwashing detergent or baby shampoo.
Drop the bra in the water. Swish it around in the soapy water a few times, then let it soak for 10 minutes or as long as it takes to shower.
Drain the soapy water out of the sink, then fill the sink with clear water. Rinse the bra twice in clear water.
Lay the bra on a folded towel with the clasp unfastened, the cups facing up and the garment spread open. The bra should be dry in a few hours.
