With Goldwell's Highlift 12-Series, natural looking blonde hair can be achieved without pre-lightening. The Goldwell line of Topchic HiBlondes Control features a few series of blonde hair colors, one of which is the Highlift 12-Series. This series has the strongest lift of up to five levels and features a Highlift Catalyst System for an integrated toning powerful lift. The Highlift 12-Series consists of four blonde shades. The Topchic HiBlondes line is gentle and delivers even, brilliant color with superb shine by lifting and toning hair. It can be used for highlights or for all over color.

Choose a shade of the Goldwell Highlift 12-Series that is closest to your natural hair color. Check the results as they would appear on various shade levels on the Highlift Color Card or on the box of the Highlift hair color. Consult a hair stylist for advice on choosing the right shade if unsure.

Determine how many levels lighter you want to go. For 3-4 levels lighter, you will mix the dye with Topchic Lotion 9%. For 4-5 levels lighter, you'll mix it with Topchic Lotion 12%.

Mix the 9% or 12% lotion with the color in a non-metal bowl or in the bottle of the lotion. Make sure the ratio of lotion to color is 2:1.

Apply using the tip of the lotion bottle, or if mixed in a bowl, using your hands or a hair coloring brush. For all over color, first apply color evenly over each strand of hair from 1 inch away from scalp, all the way to the end. Check the time and leave the dye on for 10-15 minutes. Then, apply the color evenly to the area near the scalp and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. The entire hair color processing time should not exceed 45 minutes without heat, or 30 minutes if used with open air system heat.

If using color just for regrowth, apply only to the roots or the darkened area and leave on for 30-45 minutes.

For highlights, apply only to chosen strands of hair and wrap each strand in aluminum foil. Do not leave it on for more than 45 minutes.

Check on the hair color after 30-45 minutes and leave on a little longer or if the desired color is achieved, wash hair with warm water to rinse off the color completely. Then, wash hair with shampoo and conditioner. Dry and style as you normally would.
