How to Remove the Back of a Breitling Watch

...

Breitling watches are some of the most prestigious and luxurious watches on the market. Because they are so valuable, extreme care should be taken when opening them. Breitling's authorized service technicians receive many hours of advanced training and can open and repair these watches much more easily than the average at-home handyman can. However, if you have the right tools and are confident in your abilities, you can remove the back of the elite Breitling without too much trouble.

Place the watch face-down in the cavity of an adjustable watch case holder.

Adjust the screws or knobs on the case holder until the watch case is held firmly in place.

Get out the bits for your Jaxa watch case opener. Since different Breitling watches have different styles of case backs, you will need to hold each bit up against the outer edges of the case back, one at a time, until you find the one that best matches the shape of the edges.

Determine which style and size of bit you should use, and pick out three bits of the same style. Push the bits onto the three open prongs of the Jaxa opener wrench until they lock into place.

Place the Jaxa opener wrench over the back of the watch case, bit-side down, and adjust it until it fits snugly around the circumference of the case.

Turn the wrench to the left until the back of the case is loose enough to remove with your fingers. It will be hard to get it started, but once you've turned the back panel about a quarter of a turn, it will require much less resistance.
