How to Remove Spilled Body Wax From Hands

Hot wax removes excess body hair effectively and quickly, but hair removal wax residue is sticky and can remain on the skin for days. If you have spilled hair removal wax on your hands, it can be even more difficult to remove. Whether you are a salon professional or waxing your own body at home, you can remove irritating wax residue from your hands quickly and easily with a few items from around the house.

Wet a clean towel or washcloth with warm water and gently remove any excess wax on your hands with the towel.

Fill a bowl with warm water and add a drop of dish detergent. Place your hands in the bowl and soak them for 5 minutes.

Add a drop of lemon juice to the mixture if the wax has not dissolved from your hands. Place your hands in the mixture again for 5 minutes.

Apply a drop of baby oil to your hands and rub vigorously to dislodge any excess wax.

Wait it out. Within several days, the wax will dislodge from your skin. Apply hand lotion several times a day to loosen the wax.
