Chains are attached to pants to ensure you don't loose items such as a wallet or keys. Many stores sell chains for this purpose, but you can easily make your own with just a piece of chain and two key rings. This chain will help you to keep track of your possessions and thwart pickpockets and other thieves.
Cut a 20 to 24-inch piece of small chain with a pair of bolt cutters.
Connect a key ring to both ends of the chain.
Connect one key ring to a belt loop on your pants.
Connect the other key ring to a wallet, key chain or other item.
