Baked fish can be the main dish in a healthy, tasty meal, but you may shy away from preparing it because you think it's too difficult. But preparing baked halibut is quite easy and delicious as long as you have the right recipe in your arsenal. For a fabulous dish that will melt in your mouth and that you can make in 20 minutes, follow these steps.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place halibut in baking dish. Make sure the dish is large enough that you can leave some space between each fillet.
Pour 1/2 cup of white wine into the baking dish. On top of the fillets, sprinkle 1 tsp. each of sea salt, pepper and garlic powder. Dot the fillets with 1/2 stick of unsalted butter, and sprinkle paprika on top for color.
Place halibut in the preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Do not overcook halibut. If you cook fish too long it will become dry and may lose much of its original taste. In addition, you may also add some fresh squeezed lemon.
