Most military members purchase a watch in basic training. These watches have cloth bands that must be cleaned on a regular basis. Cleaning the cloth watch band on your military watch is very simple, and takes less than ten minutes to accomplish. You can also do this using regular laundry products in your bathroom sink.
Remove the cloth band from the watch. This can be done by removing the tiny screws that hold the band to the face of the watch.
Spray the cloth watch band with Fantastik, Spray-n-Wash, or another type of stain remover. This will remove the stains and loosen dirt from the cloth.
Soak the stain-treated watch in warm water that contains a small amount of laundry detergent.
Rinse the watch band thoroughly in warm water. Lay it flat on a towel until it is dry.
Replace the watch band onto the watch face. Tighten the screws to hold it in place.
