While under construction, a new church may need extra funds to get everything started. Faith-based grant programs are aware of the trials and tribulations new churches go through on a daily basis. Grant programs will give churches money based on their needs and the start-up costs. With a little work and the necessary paperwork, you can find a faith-based grant that helps you with your new church.

Foursquare Foundation

Foursquare Foundation strives to serve and strengthen new churches. Foursquare invests in evangelists who can spread the message effectively and transform individuals. The grant amounts vary every year, so the amount awarded will depend on the church's needs. The foundation allows you to fill out an online grant application and track the progress of your application.

Global Mission/Partnership in Mission Grant Program

Global Mission/Partnership in Mission grant program also awards money to new churches. In order to be eligible for a grant, a new church will have to demonstrate financial need. The Partnership in Mission grant helps new churches survive their first couple of years until they can become self-supporting. The amount of the grant can range from $20,000 to $80,000, depending on the church’s situation. Interested churches should contact the program via email to obtain an application.
